Where do donations go?
EFEE is a catalyst for academic enrichment in our schools and our community. EFEE offers funding for education enrichment opportunities and opportunities for no-risk pilot programs. Since organizing in May of 2009, we have awarded almost $28,000 to support innovative enrichment programs and initiatives, including the Connecticut Invention Convention, JFK Cafeteria and Auditorium Student Murals, Parkman's Rachel's Challenge Puppet Theatre, Kindergarten Learning Stations in all elementary-level public schools, SeaPerch Underwater Robotics, Literacy Kits at the Enfield Public Library, and much more. EFEE Has also awarded $2,000 in scholarship funding.
What are the long-term outcomes?
We are passionate about providing truly special educational opportunities to our students. The types of programs we elect to fund foster a life-long love of learning in our students, increase teacher morale and school pride, and encourage business investment in our community. In the long-term, we want to see Enfield's students engaged, interested learners, who love school, love learning and are responsible citizens.
We want to “transform the Enfield education experience.”
